Kerry Washington is on a journey through time, paving the way for Tyler Perry’s monumental “Six Triple Eight.”

This eagerly awaited Netflix production is a masterpiece crafted by Perry, inspired by the article “Fighting A Two-Front War” by Kevin M. Hymel. Originally published in WWII History Magazine by Sovereign Media.

“The Six Triple Eight” draws inspiration from the extraordinary Women’s Army Corps unit of color that courageously served overseas during WWII. Kerry Washington embodies Major Charity Adams, the resolute leader of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. This exceptional battalion of 855 women undertook the enormous task of sorting through a three-year accumulation of 17 million pieces of undelivered mail, reuniting American soldiers with their families. The Battalion’s commendable efforts were recognized in 2022 when President Joe Biden signed the bill awarding them the prestigious Congressional Gold Medal.
